I just bought a car and was at first disappointed because it only had a single disc CD player ... then I discovered the IPod connection in the center console. After plugging up my son's 2nd Gen IPod Nano I immediately started shopping for my own IPod. With 8GB of storage I've loaded many playlists of mixed CDs as well as full CDs and it can all be controlled using the buttons on my car stereo. I love it! I would have been fine with a 2 Gen Nano because I really don't care that much about some of the other features like video but ... what the heck. The two reasons for not giving 5 stars would be the price and no FM tuner. Apple products tend to be somewhat pricy when compared to some of the other very capable MP3/video players out there. In my case, I could choose to use the car stereo AUX input and some other MP3 player and have no head unit control or buy an IPod. I do think you get excellent quality for the higher price you have to pay. My other complaint is no built in FM t

The new 8gb nano is an amazingly light and thin ipod. It is small and light enough to fit inside a shirt pocket without weighing you down. I would highly reccomend it for anyone looking for something small and portable. For the ladies, you will be able to get it in and out of your jeans pockets with little effort. This thing is thinner than the last nano! Read more

I have an older b+w ipod classic and didn't technically need this 3rd gen nano, but after trying this one and also the new 4th gen nano at my job, playing countless games of solitaire (a lonely man's game....) I realized that I like the 3rd gen better than the 4th gen because the click wheel seems easier to use for games, and that I should swoop in and buy the 3rd gen before they quit making them, also they were discounted as they are now being replaced, what a sweet deal! I am continually amazed by the color graphics and the tiny size, playing solitaire or chess it is amazing because it is just so small. also the album cover artwork is really a nice feature which my previous ipod didn't have - I use it to listen to music at work and the battery life seems good so far, also I can see using it for games when you have to sit and wait for something like at the airport. It is so small I can put it in my shirt pocket and forget that it's there. I think that anyone who is considering th

For the last 3 years I refused to fall into the ipod trend...Ive always been against mac's especially owning a mac product, after many mp3 players under my belt proving to me their performance (or shall I say lack there of) I finally took the plunge and decided to get an ipod. For anyone that is in the same boat I was or see yourself possibly heading there...dont waist for time with inferior products that dont have the "ipod" logo on them. This is a solid product, very easy to use, navigate, and set up. One of the main reasons I decided to buy this is because the aftermarket stereo I have in my truck accepts an ipod interface with full control. Awesome!!! Believe me, I tried to find something wrong with the product...but the only thing I could pull out of my (you know) is it does smudge and scratch easily, who cares? It all depends on how you treat it. But the best part about owning an ipod is you can go anywhere and find an accessory for it. Bottom line: Buy one if you have a

This 8GB capacity is Perfect!!! I have already loaded about 450 songs and 350 pictures and have only used about 1/4 of the total capacity! Being able to have all of my photographs is great! All I did was check a box on the iTunes website and as my computer and iPod began to sync...it just reached in and pulled all of my pictures stored on my computer. No more need to print copies to show off, or carry my camera around to show the 'digitals'...What an extra bonus I didn't realize when I purchased this great Nano!

Oh, yes, and the sound is fantastic! Don't need to buy the Bose headphones I was looking at...I couldn't be more pleased. I have it with me always. Just traveled from one coast to the other and I can't imagine what I would have done without it in the airports, hotel rooms, and just touring around! It is like adding 'background music to your life'! Makes the journey even more exciting! Read more
