Nervously used the same way I use my other loaf pans. Great news! They work even BETTER! Even browning, bread does all but jump out of the pan and slice itself. You'll love the handles too. I don't clean these pans except to wipe out and re-grease. I get beautiful loaves. I bake at least 2 loaves of bread for my family twice a week. I will be getting 2 more of these pans soon. I've been looking for cast iron loaf pans for a while, now. I have been told that they don't make them anymore. I had 2 cast iron loaf pans that I got several years ago, but I wanted 2 more. I was so happy when I found that this site had them. These pans are just like my old ones. I think that these pans are great to make banana bread. I love how easy the bread comes out of the pans. Well constructed, a perfect crusted 9 X 5 inch loaf comes out of the pan with a simple twist of the wrist using the built in handles. Never sticks, wipes clean with a paper towel. Hard to find, excellent price and value, a Best Buy in my book. Read more

This pan is great for normal breads and sweet ones like banana bread. As with any cast iron product, you need to make sure the pan is oiled after use, but as long as you take good care of it, you will be happy! The pan releases breads easily. You can even cut bread right in the pan and not worry about ruining it or scraping off a non-stick surface. Read more

I am trying to go all out healthy. Even trying to not cook on teflon. These pans are an affordable alturnative. Function fantastic. Look nostalgic. I think maybe they are a hair smaller than my teflon pans but it doesnt make much of a difference. I would buy these again for sure. Read more
