I have been curious about infrared photography but converting a whole camera was too much of a permenant conversion to take the internal filter out. But after playing around with it, I did produce some very nice images with my nikon d80. A note for people trying this setup in mind: get the ISO as low as possible and use a custom white balance. My first infrared filter for a digital camera. A baby step. I could have spent more on a longer wavelength filter, but this one seemed like a great comprimise. I have a Nikon D300, but for infrared I largely use Nikkor-A lenses (Non-CPU - from my F body). The filter and camera work as advertised! Will probably resurrect the F body and try the filter with it (just for chagrins..). Kodak used to make an infrared sensitive Ektachrome. It will be interesting to see how "Normal" film reacts. Sensitometry in that range is usually pretty weak. Read more

I have a Nikon D80 and used this for some test Infrared Images, I set my white balance took the shots and it was wonderful. Although it is winter a lot of the trees are bare but I got a few good shots. Overall a good filter, easily recommended. Read more

I wasnt sure I wanted to go down this path, but this filter is a great start for infrared pics. It leaves a red tint to it, but it works great. You have to use very slow shutter speeds and have bright lights reflecting off greens. Read more
