Super Lightweight Helmet!

I never liked helmets in my 13 years of snowboarding but my wife begged me to get one before our trip to Jackson Hole in Feb 2006. I agreed but I wanted very light weight and something different looking than the usual black/red/white hard plastic shell. I found the Red Hi Fi super lightweight helmet with cool Hunter Green Plaid outer cover (it's actually made of fabric!). After looking all over, [...]I got it the day before we left for the trip! I was originally going to only wear it when we hiked to the expert bowls but it was so lightweight that I wore it everywhere. I used it in the pipe & park and I have to admit it gave me some extra confidence hitting the 50 ft table top in the park. We also hiked above the lifts to the upper bowls and ski area boundary a lot because there was always powder there. I don't have any pictures from the park because we only took video but I have attached a couple of pictures from the back country which show the helmet on me. Check out the green goggle

This helmet is dope! I was never one that really liked helmets, but a few concussions later, I decided to get one. I tried a few different ones, like Pro-Tec, etc. and they all felt heavy, oppressive and basically left me feeling like a giant bobble-head doll. Once I got my hi-fi, my whole perspective changed. The thing is so light I dont even feel like Im wearing a helmet and the venting is great. Now I rock my helmet every day! Read more

I have the green plaid helmet and it is super light and comfortable. You dont even notice it is on when you are wearing it. I have gotten many complements from people about it. It is nice and soft on the inside, and very warm, including the ear pads. However, when it is hot, the vents on top of the helmet keep you cool enough. I would recommend getting it with the Oakley A-frame goggles because the two fit together extremely well. Read more

Love my Hi Fi Helmet. I had zero issues with my Oakley Crowbar goggles fitting with it perfectly. The helmet fits very well, and the chin strap is comfy and easy to get on and off. The headphones are very loud, I usually turn my ipod all the way up and control the volume with the switch on the chord. The mute button is easily used with your gloves on to turn the music off to talk to someone or not to if they are trying to ask you where to find powder. Read more

By far the lightest helmet Ive ever put on. Has a nice goggle channel to keep your goggs in place. Comfortable with perfect peripheral vision. The headphones sound great and have a handy volume control on the cord. The one touch mute button is by far my favorite thing about it. Read more
