We have owned this fridge for less than a year and have had the ice maker repaired and finally replaced. The catch basin underneath overflowed, damaging our cherry floors. This was resolved by adding a heater underneath the basin to help dry out the water in the pan. Unless you hold your glass under the water dispenser to catch the last few drips, the the extra water drips down, fills the overflow basin and drains out on the hardwood floor. I am constantly wiping up water in front of the fridge because of this. Of course if the kids were trained to stand in front of the fridge for five extra seconds after they filled their glass, this wouldn't be problem. This is the biggest, nicest, most expensive fridge I have owned and I have had more trouble with it than any other. Read more

This is the worst refrigerator we have ever owned. The ice maker has had to be repaired 5 times and still does not work. We're on the second round of the freezer going out. We have only had it 5 years and the problems started after 6 months and have never stopped. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK. Read more

I am on the 4th replacement Viking refrigerator, and in the past 2 months I have had the icemaker serviced 3 times, with damage to my brand new wood floor. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything good about Viking products, as every one I own has needed service within the first few months. If you are considering the purchase of any Viking product, please reconsider. Read more
