Great value and comfort for the price!

I bought this product to use on a horseback riding camping trip. As we were sleeping in the horse trailer I did not want something too high, but wanted comfort as well. This product suited both needs and is comfortable enough that I will be using it as an extra guest bed in my home this summer when I hostess a large reunion. I may even buy a couple more of the same style, I like it that much. And you can't beat the price! Read more

After reading good reviews about this product I purchased a raised comfort guest bed from smart bargains. Recently had a newborn baby and had many guest in town visiting. Third night being used....Half the bed "broke" it lost it's support and over inflated. My guests spent the rest of their time here at a hotel. Wait...it get's better. I call aerobed to file for warranty. It takes them 10 days to process my warranty exchange. 10 days is totally outrageous. Wait...it gets better. They sent me a replacement...however it's the WRONG BED! They send me a single, not a full size bed! Not done yet.....I call Aerobed and they are totally non-apologetic to my situation (four guests in 3 weeks staying at hotels...). They say they will overnight a new bed to me. 10 more days...NO BED!!!! After numerous calls to customer service they finally figure out that the bed was out of stock and there is nothing they can do. Totally avoid this company with every inch of sanity! I HAVE OWNED AN AERO BED FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HAVE GOTTEN GOOD USE FROM IT. THEY INFLATE AND DEFLATE QUICKLY AND FOR ALL PRACTICAL PURPOSES THEY ARE GREAT FOR OVER-NIGHT GUESTS, KIDS SLEEPOVERS, OR JUST TAKING ALONG AS AN EXTRA BED IN A HOTEL WITOUT HAVING TO PAY THE ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR AN EXTRA BED. HONESTLY, I WOULD NOT USE ONE FOR LONG TERM SLEEPING SUCH AS A MAIN BED IN A HOME AND IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THE BED (FOR KIDS) IS NOT A TRAMPOLINE. IT WAS MENTIONED THAT THEY LEAK A LITTLE...THIS IS TRUE IN MY CASE AS WELL, HOWEVER I DON'T BELIEVE THESE BEDS WERE MEANT TO BE ABSOLUTLEY AIR TIGHT. WHEN YOU HAVE 1 OR MORE PERSONS ON THE BED FOR SEVERAL HOURS I WOULD IMAGINE THE WEIGHT ALONE WOULD FORCE OUT SOME AIR BUT IT IS NOT CATASTROPHIC. I've only had the bed for a few weeks, but have kept it inflated and slept on it since the day I got it. I have a bad back, need a new mattress for my platform bed, am using the Aerobed as a topper, changing/testing different inflation pressures to see what firmness is most comfortable for me. So far it's been incredible. I'm finally able to get a good night's sleep and wake up with no back pain. All I can say is I would have rated this product even higher if I knew for sure that it would maintain its current performance. Read more
