I read reviews by others who cite problems with spillage while filling or difficulty seeing fill level indicator before I purchased. I don`t have issue with either. Makes a great brew,quickly. I like the 5 beeps when brewing is done and 2 to indicate Auto shutoff. Paper filters are not required. Carafe lid takes getting used to and I would have preferred a larger LED clock you can see from across the room to the small LCD one. Overall a good find. Read more

Best coffeemaker I have ever had! It has turned my husband into a coffee drinker and lover. Easy to program, never tastes burned or overflows like others I have had. We like the ability to set the temperature on the warming plate. I have had lots of other brands, but I wouldn't switch! I now buy them for others as gifts and they also are never disappointed. We have owned this coffee maker for a total of 3 years... unfortunately it's been combined owning 2 machines! The first one we had worked great for about 2 years, then all of the sudden, just stopped brewing. I called Cuisinart and luckily still had my original receipt and was able to get it replaced. I was told I needed to unplug the unit at least once a month to 'reset' the timer in it. What kind of excuse is that??? Why should you have to unplug your coffee maker every month in order for it to work correctly? Unfortunately, the replacement machine has not even lasted as long as the first one. This one stopped brewing like the first one did, but also will not brew when set for automatic brew. The lights all come on, but nothing happens! I have been extremely disappointed with this product. I will never again buy a Cuisinart anything. I thought Cuisinart made quality products, but I was proven wrong. So far I am pretty well-pleased with this coffee maker. A few things though: -After having an old cheapy for some time, it took me a while to get used to this one- it is quite easy to use (if you read the directions), but the coffee seemed to be on the weak side when I made it the same way I had previously. But, I think that might be because of the water filter on this unit- I am just tasting coffee now- not our hard water! -I really like the automatic setting- it's very easy to use. -I saw that someone complained about overflow and grounds being in the coffee, but I wonder if that person read the instruction booklet fully? The instruction booklet says specifically that you must use a coarser grind of coffee when using the included gold-tone filter, or you could clog it or get grounds in your coffee. -And the only thing that I find to be a drawback on this coffee maker is that it is difficult to see how much water you are pouring in- particularly when you want to make less than 6 cu … Read more
