The optics are excellent with bright, sharp views. Compared to another 50 mm binocular (12 x 50) the images from the Oceana are far superior, despite the smaller magnification (7X instead of 12X). The 24 mm eye relief is a significant plus for those who wear glasses. Another small, but convenient feature is the attached lens protector caps. No more lost caps - at least for the 50 mm lenses; the eyepieces however have detached, removable protectors. Read more

It may sound foolish, but the only reason I bought these were because of the review by rtc, 11/7/2003. Thanks, rtc! My first pair of binoculars and it would be impossible to tell me their are better ones for the price. Great construction and quality materials. Very simple to use and the view is AMAZING! After using these, a Celestron telescope will definitely be my next choice. Read more
