I bought this product in tube and spray form. My WHITE- coated dog is outdoors and the product stains initially but does work.
I bought the spray yesterday and read labels of both cat and dog are same % percent ingredients.
I have used oils before and never had a headache so.....i am going to contact the company to see what grade the oils are.
I shook before use and applied to papertowel, than to back of neck towards tail for my cats/kitten,dog. Cats are groomers so any product you apply everywhere they will eat. (you might look for an ingestible product for cats) No reaction to my animals when used in moderation.(i used one spray for cats)
This product and label needs to be re-vised for cats or just used much less and not all over!!
Caution when used with cats. There is some debate on quality of oil(ones with phenols) may cause problems for cats but either way they need very little.

Unless your pet is flea infested, i would advise not to resort only to chemical flea cont

This stuff does have a strong smell, but it is worth it compared to putting the toxic stuff from the vet on your pet. That stuff causes cancer..so it is up to you, live with the smell or give your pet cancer.
I did find that the application tubes are too strong for my one dog, it did burn his hair and he had a bald patch, but I just switched to the spray and he is fine with it.
As with anything, you may need to experiment a bit.
I would never again use the stuff from the vet. I own shar peis and they have enough problems not to deal with getting cancer from something like that. Read more

Bummer #1: This came with a spray, which is great based on some other comments about the other applicators, but this product had spilled in the bag, and it continues to spill every time it's not upright. Tried tightening the cap, but that's not it... Bummer #2: My husband, mother-in-law, and everyone who comes in contact with it has had allergic reactions to it... pretty severe in some cases (mother got all dizzy and could not breathe). Husband does not like the smell, won't even let me take this product with in the car.. I personally think it smells awesome - like a spice cake... It is a bit strong, even for me, but I tolerate it cause I know that ticks hate it, so do mosquitoes, and Cooper (the Rott) doesn't mind it, and it works, and leaves the dog smelling nice. It does work like a reg. bug spray - it wears off and you have to reapply it. I laugh, however, cause having cooper in the house is like lighting one of those oil burners - spice oil :) - fragrances the house nicely vs. spr

I've used this on my sighthounds, and have been very pleased with the results. A little goes a long way with this, so remember that before you go soaking an animal in the product.

I personally like the smell of cloves (which seem to overwhelm the product), and none of my hounds have minded either. Read more

I noticed ticks on my dogs- a 3 year old Husky and a 10 year old labrador- after a recent vacation. We live in a climate where we never see ticks or fleas, so I knew I wanted to give them a treatment that would kill the ticks without exposure to pesticides. Within hours of application, there were dead ticks on their beds the following morning. This stuff works! The scent is strong the first day- a warning label would have been nice. There is also a little residual oil on the fur from application. That washed off with a moist towel. I find comfort that my dogs are again tick-free and that I didn't have to expose them to nasty chemicals from other brands. I recommend this product wholeheartedly. Read more
