I use the products with the children first. When it breaks (w/ children something always breaks), I melt them down and make a heart shaped crayon for use in the nursing home. The crayons are too small and hard to hold for the patients, but have found the heart shaped is the best fit! It's great because the colors are sharp, very bright - never dull. It differs from the other brands as the wax to color ratio is lower - not much wax and maximum color. Read more

I sometimes use Crayola Crayons myself in my card-making and scrapbooking but not in a traditional way. They are perfect for what I need them for. However, my fairly large purchase of the 24 pack of Crayola Crayons was for a drive our Church is having to get Crayola Crayons and Markers to every disadvantaged grade school in San Antonio so that each child has quality tools.
