A month ago, I was towing my son on a tube in a cove on one of our local lakes. My wife pointed to something, and asked "what kind of jet ski is that guy riding?" As we got closer I realized it was a guy doing water wheelies on a four wheeler! My wife decided right then that we needed a depth finder![...] Installed guage in dash (had open slot) per the instructions. Very easy install! Temporarily installed puck (per the instructions), and took to lake on Saturday. The guage worked most of the time, but had a tendancy to "lose/confuse" signal. Had to turn off and back on to reset. This problem completely went away once permanently installed (again, per instructions). Puck install was easy using the supplied epoxy. Let cure for several days, and then back to the lake. Works PERFECTLY! The shallow water alarm is a nice feature also.Every ski boat should be equipped with one of these! Safety reasons alone justify the price (not to mention possible damage to the boat)!!! Read more

I replaced a 9 year old unit that had worked well till it quit. I replaced with the newer still Humminbird and it performs great. My boat is a 21' Bryant and Hummingbird comes from the factory in the dash.My boat runs about 56 MPH and no problems with the depth, reads well and I am using the through the hull transducer. I've had one of these in my ski boat for about a year and have been very satisfied. The in-hull mount works perfectly from within my fiberglass hull (epoxied in place per installation instructions) and overall the installation of the unit was fairly easy. The depth measurement is quite accurate and the display refresh rate is easily high enough for navigating even in shallow water. Read more
