Have had this unit 10 days. Brand new out of the box it has its problems. You can start working out and all of a sudden it will just stop. Sometimes 5 minutes into the workout, other times its 15-20 minutes. Very unreliable, everytime it happens it resets the moniters so you can't keep accurate records of time, mileage, or calories burned. Called customer service and they stated its not uncommen. They wanted me to pull the cover to the motor and re adjust the belt not the tread belt BUT THE MOTOR BELT. This is not something you can easily do without some mechanical background. They are telling a consumer a few days after purchase to pull the machine apart, which I found to be absured. I did what they stated and the problem still is happening. I have no idea what all the reviews saying the assembly is hard or difficult. I am inept at most things but I assembled this in about an hour BY MYSELF! The instructions were great and the only problem I had was moving it upstairs. This machine is HEAVY. The motor and belt are quiet. In the store the 1100 was the quietest of the floor models. At the price it's a great deal. I do have 3 minor complaints. The shelf used to place a book on covers the fan should you decide to read and walk. I also would have liked it to have the hand levers to work out your arms while walking. I just have to pretend I have them and move my arms instead. I don't think the Pulse readout is very accurate. I'm recovering from surgery and need to walk. It's too hot to walk outside so we went on the search for a treadmill. Our salesperson was extremely helpful and we decited this was the best for us. I didn't even read the instructions and was able to get my morning workout and monitor my heart rate. The display was encouraging. It was easy to adjust the speed in accordance with my heart rate and to lower it for a warm down. It is in my house still sitting on the cardboard box on hardwood floors and I was surprised about how quiet it is. I'm very happy with my purchase. Read more

I use this machine 1-2x a day! Its great in what all it has to offer. Its easy to use once put together. You definatly need some muscles to move this product and to put some of it together. It took us almost an hour to carry and put it together. Its a heavy product, but once its put together it is easy to move around, which I orignially didnt think would be the case! Read more

The reviews given above are just plain ignorant. This treadmill is not spectacular however for less than a thousand dollars you are getting a solid machine that focuses on weight loss. If you want a heart rate monitor that is 100% accurate then buy one that straps around your chest, not one that goes off of your pulse. An idiot can put one of these together, and is folds up great.
