Bought for my 2-year-old grandson's recent birthday, to compete with his 4 & 6-year-old sisters' dollhouses with which they'd rather he not play. As soon as the set was out of the box, all 3 of them started playing with it. This appears to be great fun for this age. MainStreet Village are by far the best interactive playsets for preschoolers and special needs Children. My Grandson suffers with autism and doesn't verbalize. He Loves the sounds the sets make, will imitate them, and has started to verbally respond to them. We often hear "Hello" or "Goodbye" to doorbells and telephones. He is playing interactively with the entire family and will bring pieces to the grown-ups and encourage them to play with him. We've purchased almost every piece of the collection. I first questioned adding another "set" of toys to the mix, but I couldn't resist this collection. There was so much offered for a great price. I purchased this for my two year old son's birthday, but he and his six year old brother love to play with it together. I have a 4 year old boy and a 2 year old girl and they both love this toy. They have played with it every day since I bought it. They are so sweet playing together. We bought this for my 2 year old, but my 4 year old has the patience and the imagination to play with this for hours! The mat is fantastic! It's a must have! I can see that having a few pieces is much better than just one. My two year old loves it but I can see that he will grow into it more.
