Our son got this when he was 4, still plays with it at 5. All the kids, from 2 to 42, who visit our home love this rocket. We are going to get the Space Base, another toy that matches this one, by the same company. This is a fun and interesting toy that encourages my son's imagination. I decided to purchase it after reading favorable reviews on this web site. My three-year-old son became interested in rockets and space travel after seeing them in books and on TV. He really likes the moon buggy and the bed that folds up to reveal a toilet underneath. He also is a fan of the space dog. I think this is a unique and good quality product. It is of good size and is bigger than I expected it would be. I was weary of buying this becuase it seemed to cost a lot of money. It was worth every penny. My son got it for his 3rd birthday and still plays with it regularly over a year later. I also love that it's safe enough to have around his baby brother and sister. There are lots of neat things about it. The sound effects and lights are great. The little kitchen, bed, and potty on the inside are cute and make it entertaining. If you're on the fence, I say go for it with this one!! Read more

I purchased this toy (and the Space Base) for my 1 year old son. He loves it almost as much as his older sisters (ages 3 & 6). It has helped boost our imagination of what life would be like as an astronaut (or alien or robot!). The only caveat seems to be that the doors/hatches come off all the time, but they easily snap back into place. Read more
