My first time using a pressure cooker, this made it so simple and the food came out perfectly each time.. I used alot of crock pot cooking in the past, however it takes almost all day to cook... I just simply took my main coarse of meat out of the freezer added in all of the ingredients of my recipe, set the timer had to add some time but it was so simple to do, I didnt have to stand over a hot stove nor wait all day with my slow cooker... What a nice product and the quality of it is outstanding as well as the design... Love it! I have one question does anyone know if you can do canning in this particular model?.. I suppose I could, but I am not to sure on that one.. As I am just getting into the whole canning concept... I was used to the older cast iron skillets and such alot of out doors cooking and smoking turkey's etc., this pressure cooker thing is all knew to me.... I loved the fact that it has the safety pressure gage, I tried to open it too soon but it wouldnt allow me to open

This WP cooker is very similar in many ways to the excellent Nesco cooker, but the WP version has some very unpleasant features. The user interface is quite bizarre and hard to use. To lower the cooking time you must RAISE the cooking time past zero. I've been unable to figure out what the "meat" "vegetable" and so on settings mean relative to the usual "high" and "low" settings specified in cookbooks. The pressure valve is noisy and confusing to use. I could go on. Just get the Nesco. Read more

This cooker is great. I have three other cookers a Foger, Cuisinart, and a no-name-brand for the microwave. I like this one the best. I use it almost everyday. I really like the keep warm feature.

The only set back is the instruction book, but since I have used these types of cooker for over 30 years I can figure it out. A novice will surely find it complicated. Mr. Puck needs to improve this book or write a cook book just for this cooker.

I have an electric stove and I get very hot just standing in front of it while cooking, but with this cooker I and my kitchen stay cool. There is also less clean up since the stove top does not get messy as with regular pots.

I have not tried the delay start feature yet, so I cannot comment on that.

The glass lid option is a great feature not found in other cookers of this type.

I recommend everyone to buy this cooker. Read more

I really like this pressure cooker, but the manual that comes with it is confusing and doesn't tell you the pounds pressure. I have previously used the old jiggle-top pressure cookers on the stove, so I was confused as to how this "second generation" top worked. If you're used to an "old fashioned" cooker, the top will seem loose, but somehow it tightens as the heat comes up. I am disappointed that the manual doesn't list pounds pressure--- it just says that the pressure is variable between 12-14 pounds, depending on the program that you choose (rice, vegtables, meat, etc.) A CHART listing the pounds pressure by program would have gone a long way towards helping me figure out timing for old favorite recipes! So, for that I'll need to do some experimentation. But, as far as looking good on the counter & working well unattended, this product rocks! Read more

Looks great - has multiple functions, cuts cooking time to half. No issue with the unit (my issue is more on the use of electricity knowing that the price for that is climbing up)
Concept is that of a regular rice cooker and they added the pressure cooking to it (very bright idea indeed).
Meat was tender - originally using my regular pressure cooker - it would have taken me an hour to pressure cook the beef, with this it took only 30 minutes (10 minutes to get it to the right pressure and 20 to cook it on auto timer).
You will not be disappointed with this product...It is refurbished but did not show any signs of that at all. I bought the warranty just to be sure (what's a few bucks for your peace of mind....) Read more
