I bought this filter to replace my old one. If you have an older Viking filter, you will know that it takes about an hour to fill one 8oz glass of water. You can literally walk away, come back 30 minutes later, and it will be half full. It was that way from the first moment I got the refrigerator. Now, with these new filters, I no longer have to miss important events or conversations, it fills the glass quickly. It's a water filter...it filters water. Just like it's supposed to. If you buying it, you don't have a choice. You have to get this one if its the one that fits in your viking fridge. Abt has the best price based on my research and they were great to work with. Read more

This is the only filter I they make for my viking fridge, so I don't have a choice, but it really seems to filter nicely. If I drink my tap water (NY city water) I can taste chlorine. I can't taste the chlorine when I drink it from the fridge. I gave it 4 stars because it's so expensive. Read more
