I have one of the older ones, (cheaper too) and got this one for another office. The layout is difficult to work with, if you are a touch typist, trying to do anything with a non QWERTY keyboard is a nightmare. There is no way to NOT waste ABSURD amount of label, you can't set the side margins to minimal because the distance from the print head to the cutter is almost an inch... so you waste that much as a minimum on each label. and the refills are not cheap. Had to take a few minutes of slowly reading the instructions before I was able to use the label maker features, but now it's a snap. I also had trouble with peeling the labels until I realized that they were split down the back. Very clever, no trouble after that. They have held up nicely so far. I have some in the fridge and some on some drawers, and so far nothing has peeled off or worn off. Gadget itself has nice heft and fits nicely in your hand. Feel substantial, and so far is! I labeled all wiring on my computer and network with special tape. YES! You can select the margins on the label to be set at a small 1/16" for no waste. Peeling is easier if you pull the label over a sharp edge like scissors to create a bubble. (Works good but you need to practice this.) The photo tape is good for scrapbooks or pictures. Next, It can be used outside and last years without fading, longer if covered with clear packaging tape. CONS: does not take 3/4" tape, but I already knew this. There is no speaker for any audio feedback or PC or SD card backup. Finally, no input for graphics. I really would like a spell checker with add-to-memory. Enjoy. Read more

Nice product, quiet, rugged with a nice form factor. It however is very wasteful of the tapes. It wastes on average 20-30% of the tape on blank space at the beginning and end of the tape, and I end up having to cut out the white space with scissors. Read more

This labeler has helped me organize my garage. I no longer have to wonder what is in the "mystery boxes" on the shelving. I have many tools, craft items, sports equipment, DIY things that I can now locate immediately. I also have scrapbooking supplies and sewing supplies that I have been able to organize and label. My only problem is that I use so many batteries in the course of making these labels. I wish that there had been an AC adapter available for purchase when I bought the labeler. Read more
