I have used the older Verison of this phone for a while we just upgraded to the newer design in our new office. these phones work awsome. Last poster didnt read the manual. Infact if you do not plug in the powercord you can only use line 1. so simply put plug it in all 4 lines work. As far as having a line roll to the next you dont do that on a phone you do that with the phone company. they do that for you. I like the feature of transfering a call from any line into any office in the building. i have no idea how this thing does it but it works surprisingly well Read more

I purchased this phone 8 months ago, and in that short time period this phone has been a total piece of junk. I bought it because I have always trusted the name brand. Big mistake. I work in small office and I make and/or receive 10 to 20 calls a day. Not at all high volume. The LCD display only works when it wants to (wish I could do that) and the answering machine feature is very tempermental. I tried to return the phone after only 5 or 6 months, but I was informed that electronics can only be returned within 14 days of purchase. The reason given to me for that is because of how quickly technology "changes". Funny. Better explanation for "changes" should be "falls apart". As of this morning I am happy to report that the phone has apparently decided to go on strike..........as now it no longer takes incoming calls. Great "change" keep up the inferior work!! Read more

Obviously somebody did not think when they designed this phone. I am starting a new medical office and needed to have 4 phone lines. Though this phone comes with a portable handset, you can only use the base OR the handset at one time. If one is using the base, you have to put the call on hold before you can answer with the handset,OR before you can answer the next call. I think that if you sell a 4-line phone, you should be able to access any other incoming calls with the base or handset AT THE SAME TIME. [...]Yes, you can have up to 16 stations, but your office has to be WIRED for 16 stations. Who wants wires in any place these days? Read more

One major flaw

The phone seems ok, I haven't had it that long.

However, one major problem for me is that if you are using the phone, the answering machine will not pick-up on the other lines. I figured that I must be doing something wrong or that my phone was broken, but I called customer service and they confirmed that the answering machine won't pick-up if you are on one of the lines. Therefore, you have to put your call on hold and answer the second call or the second call just keeps ringing. I really can't believe the phone is made that way - what good is that? So now, I'm going to buy a cordless to use with the system, hopefully the answering machine will pick-up when I'm on the cordless. Read more

I Also Have used this phone in a few of our locations. works remarkably well. Only one thing to take note of (and its CLEARLY Marked on the phone with a sticker when you buy it) you can not have your DSL internet on line 1. apparetnly the phones all comunicate with the same technologie as DSL so if you put line one the dsl line you will loose all your fancy functions and get really random issues. HOWEVER!! the phone has atleast two stickers that say dont do that so its clearly marked. other then that the phone works really well (you can have any other line be the DSL line but just not line one) Read more
