I've got 4 of these in the Boat, and 4 on the Tower. I already reviewed the "in boat use", so now I'll review them on the tower. I put them in some DIY bullet style cans, and they are powered by a 4 channel 400 watt amp. They project very well, however they do distort a little at max volume. Maybe needs a little more or cleaner power. Using the WS-420 if I turn the bass down a bit and turn up the mid bass a little they sound great. More importantly they sound great at the end of my line. I haven't compared to Pro-80's, which I'm sure blow these away on the tower, but for the dollars I really like the sound, and I like the looks. When beached with tower and in cab speakers cranked, I get lots of compliments on the system, so I must be doing something right! Read more

Wow! The difference these speakers make is instant!!! I had my tunes playing while putting these in the boat. 3 factory speakers playing while I plugged in the 1st XS-650... It instantly took over the boat. I have a sub in my boat and these speakers compete with it. I've heard people describe these as "bright" speakers, and I disagree. I have my amp set to Full Range, and I'm getting no distortion on the low end. Truely in a class of their own. Read more

If you know marine audio you know about wet sounds. I replaced my old speakers (Rockford Fosgate) with these and there's no comparison. Solid, crisp tunes with plenty of power. Don't waste your money on the cheap stuff. Splurge a little on these, you won't be disappointed!!! Read more
