My friend got this for her newphews that live in CA. for christmas....and they are pretty young as in they are on the computer a lot and understand gadgets a lot better than people my age....Well they haven't figured how to put songs on there and they sent it back to my friend for her to try and firgure everything well we both can't figure it out ....CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP....there is no number you can call on this mp34 player if you have questions [...]..... so if someone doesn't explain this thing to us soon we will beging to think we got RIPPED OFF!!!!!! My 3 kids (all under the age of 11) got it in their heads that they all needed an ipod for Christmas. There is no way I am going to spend the dough to get them an ipod. I was excited to see these MP3 players listed for such a good price. I agree with all the other reviews, the instructions are laughable. I quickly glanced over them and was able to figure out most of the operation on my own. It comes with some software, but don't even install it. The player itself is like a flash drive with a USB port. Pretty easy just to pop the end off and plug it in. I simply created some different named files and starting dragging my music into the different files. Pretty easy. When you turn it on, trying to scroll through the options is "klunky". You're inclined to want to push the two silver buttons (one of them is the play/pause button) but the key to driving this thing is the black "mode" button on the bottom. Don't Buy, Don't Buy, Don't Buy. It only worked for like two days! I decided to go cheap & this is what I get. I've had this thing since the end of November, It's been in a drawer since the beginning of December. The Instruction booklets' extremely small print made it a pain on the eyes to read. The CD-ROM's software is worthless. Adding files by drag and drop or in WMP were a snap(No Prob'!). The first two days were fine although I spent most of my time trying to figure out the controls on my own. After that, It started shutting off and going into standby mode by itself - my batteries were brand new. The "mode" button sticks, and skips folders I want to listen to. The only thing that worked was the was the volume control, the multi-colored back-lit display (one color at a time), the equalizer settings, and the hold button. I barely got a signal for the radio. I got this mp3 player for its price. I was a bit concerned about the sound quality before purchasing it, but since it's just for my 7-year old I figured it's OK. My son loves it! The sound quality is better than I expected. Sometimes it's a bit tricky to use though, you have to leave it on to charge which I found a bit weird..but other than that, it's perfect! Great value, I'd definitely recommend it. Read more

I ordered this item for my son's birthday. I wanted to make sure we'd have it in time so I ordered it a couple of weeks early. By the time we figured out that the device didn't even work (at first we thought it was the poor directions that were the problem) I couldn't return it because it had been 21 days.
