I looked at the Baby Italia website and NOTHING! It is a lovely crib and we've certainly gotten our money's worth, but why is it such a challenge to find the information about ordering the conversion (tomorrow I guess I have to get on the phone and start making calls but who has time)? First, my daughter has always gotten her arms and legs STUCK between the slats. I would hear her screaming in the crib and find her crying in pain because her arm or leg was stuck between the slats so hard that I had to pull as hard as possible nearly breaking them to get her out! This has happened about 15 times mostly when she was around ten months old... but a few times recently since she is almost three! I[...]. In addition you have to purchase the toddler conversion kit [$]...and the bed rails [...] separately. It is a solid crib / made of quality materials and is easy to assemble and convert. For us, being able to lower the mattress as our daughter got older was key because she wasn't able to climb out of it until last weekend (almost 2 1/2 yrs old). We just installed the toddler rail and she absolutely loves it. The rail is long enough that we don't have to worry about her falling out and she is able to get in and out on her own. The lead time on the toddler rail is long - about 12 wks - so plan ahead. At 8 months pregnant and on a nesting rampage it required almost no help to assemble. Once together is feels very solid and sturdy and doesn't wabble at all. Looking into the future I can really see the value of the lifetime crib as we have now purchased our 5 year old her "Big girl bed" after previouslly having a toddler bed and a crib. Its sturdy and doesnt wabble at all and its very beautiful. It was very easy for my husband to put together. I love the decorative flowers on the crib. It really dresses up the crib to look very delicate and beautiful. I would most definintely recommend this crib to anyone.
