This is a great product. My son figured it out eventually and ended up breaking it but until then it worked great. There is really nothing out there that would do any better and for [$] it was well worth the time it did work. If he hadn't stopped playing with the buttons when it did break I would have bought it again. Now my 2nd child is 1 and playing with the buttons so I ordered it again for her. I know it isn't fool proof but I will take what I can get since the buttons on my tv are so accessible. I guess if I want fool proof I would buy a new tv with the buttons out of reach. =) Read more

I actually bought this yesterday because I was tired of using duct tape!! It is very flimsy and my 20 month old twin boys just walked right up to it, pulled it back and proceeded to turn the TV on and off. They did pull on it together but could also do it alone. Back to duct tape for now. It's worked the best out of everything so far (although it's not very esthetically pleasing!) Read more

I have used this product with many children with various disabilities. Many of the children I work with LOVE to rewind the TV or movie repeatedly. With some of the kids it immediately put an end to the behavior, because it wasn’t worth the effort of pulling out, and another “stim” became more accessible. Some of the kids did find out how to get around it, but it is worth a try for the price, for a bit of peace of mind Read more

        Not good for larger tv's

I baught this tv guard and unfortunately, it did not work for my 46" LCD tv. It was not tall enough to cover the buttons, nor was it long enough to cover the tv since there are buttons on each end. This would work great for smaller one's, but not for mine! Read more

I read all the reviews on this tv guard (some good, many bad) but I was so desperate for a solution to our "baby constantly fiddling with the tv buttons" problem that I was willing to try anything and I ordered it anyway. We put the guard in place and it took my daughter one day to figure out how to defeat it. She just pulls on the plastic and bends it enough to put her hand inside. What a waste of money! Read more
