Ok, this is the scoop. It took us a total of 20 hours. The first 2 1/2 hours we read the book, labeled all pieces of wood with post it notes.( would highly incourage this to save a lot of time when actually looking for each piece to assemble). We took zip lock baggies and seperated all of the loose nuts, bolts, washers, lock washers, etc.... and labeled those with a magic marker. That was very helpful as well when looking for the correct hardware to assemble in the least amount of time. We took several days and did about 3-5 hours each day. Our 2 year old did not know what we were actually doing. He even helped a little bit. This set was purchased as a Christmas gift. And the look on his face and the reaction that he had when he turned around in the living room and peired out the sliding glass door was worth it all. He just kept jumping up and down flapping his arms like a bird yelling "Santa swing set, Santa swing set ". He refused to open any other gifts and played on it for 1 1/2 ho

We purchased this product for our children. It took my husband and father (a carpenter) two days to assemble. My father was not happy with the wood and said it was poorly designed. However, our kids loved playing on it. In less than one year, it was pushed over by wind. It WAS anchored into the ground. We ordered replacement parts which were reasonably priced; however, shipping was expensive. The parts were replaced (another day of assembly). However, we used corkscrew ancors to go deeper into the ground. Now, being a little apprehensive during storms we would watch the house/fort moved in wind or storms. A year later, it happened again. The wind from a thunderstorm tore the top off the swingset. Calling the company once again, they said we could buy replacement parts. It was a total loss. They said we could not purchase the entire set. Long story short... I would not recommend this play set. It is not sturdy enough and needs to be built with better lumber. Read more

We bought this product late in the summer on sale. When we went to buy a swing set this is not the one we had researched, but we are beyond happy we paid the extra $$$ for this one. It took us an entire evening to organize the pieces, but once that was done it only took us one day to assemble. Sure there were four of us, but considering the size, we thought it went smoothly. The wood was all in good condition compared to the one we had gotten from another huge retail store and then returned earlier in the summer. The struction is very sturdy and strong. Both my husband and I have been found playing on this swing set including in the play house portion. My four year old son has enjoyed this swing set just about everyday since we built it even in the winter. Read more

We bought this swing set for our 2 year old daughter and she loves it. It has alot of pieces your best bet is to make sure everything is there and number the boards it makes assembly so much easier also include the nuts bolts and screws we were missing acouple of bolts we also put together the ladders roof and rock wall before hand. This is a two person job! it took my husband and his friend a total of eight hours to put together. Its not that bad to put together if you take your time. The only concern i have is when my daughter swings the top sways but they say that is normal. Make sure it is level as well. Its hard work but the look on your childs face is worth it! Read more

Remember the 3 P's; Partner, Powertools & Patience!! These will surely help you get this put together!! Yes, it's very time-consuming to assemble, but open all boxes & lay everything out first. Do the same with the hardware, too. Nothing is labeled & nothing is in order except for the instruction book. Instructions are a little vague, but if you take your time & pay close attention to how the holes line up in the diagrams & which way the boards are to lay, you will be done with it before you know it. Don't be overwhelmed with how much assembly you have to do, keep in mind why you're doing it in the first place. (Your kids). I have a daycare & the kids love it. Our daughters are 5yrs & 7yrs, and they can't get enough of it. No pieces were missing and the wood was very sturdy. Had to buy a few more wood screws & lag screws, but not a big deal. The other reviews that say the swingset is flimsy, probably didn't assemble on level ground, or didn't tighten bolts up tight enough.
