OK Crib, NOT GREAT

We got this crib when I was nine months pregnant. It was fairly easy to assemble. The rail has worked great so far, not falling down or anything however, the screws that hold the side rail loosen very easily and we have to keep tighten them frequently or else I'm afraid my son will be able to push down and climb out. It looks nice, but I regret getting this crib just because the price was right. Although I have not had any accidents with it, thankfully. For a few more bucks you could get a more sturdy crib and that is going to last. My son is turning 2 this month and I don't trust him in it. And I don't think I'll be able to use if/when I have another child. If you can and if you are planning on having more than one child, invest in a sturdy convertible crib. It's worth it, and you don't have to worry about buying a toddler bed later on. Read more

We have had this crib for over 2 years and it still looks great. I love the fact that the ends are solid and do not have bars. However, this does make it difficult to use a bumper because there is no place to tie it but we made it work. It has a few scratches from normal wear and tear, but that's to be expected. Our daughter is transitioning to a big girl bed now and even though this is not a convertible crib, we were still able to take the rail off to make it a daybed. There is a bar underneath that still supports it once the rail is gone. We have been using it this way for about a month now and it is very stable. We will definitely be using it for our next child. Read more

This is a great crib overall... easy one handed raising and lowering, sturdy even after the baby shakes all the rails, teething friendly (baby tested) The bed lowers with little difficulty and baby still hasn't managed to climb out. The only problem I have had with it, besides it obviously took two people to assemble, is that I have had to tighten a screw every 3 weeks on the drop side because it keeps working its way out with the raising and lowering of the side rail. If it isn't tightened, then it becomes very difficult to raise and lower the rail and it catches. But it's only one screw and the functionality of the crib is maintained. It's definitely been worth the money. I guess it's also noisy to raise/lower the rail. Read more

Not a safe and sturdy crib!

Well a baby can sleep in the crib, but when a baby begins to stand up and pull on the rails it is not sturdy. My fourth baby only 19lbs. just learned to pull herself up and popped off one spindle. Then a few weeks later snapped the spindle in half and left jagged edges. Well now I have 2 open gaps for her to easily get hurt!! I have 2 cribs... this one which I do not recommend... who cares @ spending a little extra $ when it comes to a childs saftey. My other crib who my 2 year old is using is super sturdy and safe and I have used it for 6 years!! A stronger crib with strong spindles is well worth the $$ first time around if you plan on having more than 1 child down the line... Read more

All I can say is this crib is awesome! It did take awhile to put together, but overall great product. Great price. We loved that the ends were solid and did not have slabs all around it. The side goes down easy wasn't hard to use. Never had a problem at all. Our son was in it until his second birthday and moved to his toddler bed (also made by Jardine). Read more
