Determined to get back into shape this year, I researched equipment and price and chose the Pilates Power Gym as the piece that would help me with strength and weight loss. This Gym allows me to strengthen, tone and lose fat all in one. I'm confident that the range of exercises and potential challenges is excellent and will keep me focused on my goals.

The exercises are easy to learn and customize. The two DVDs contain workouts for any level. I chose one to begin with until I've achieved my weight loss goals and will then move on to the tougher workouts that require even more resistance.

The unit is very strong and sturdy and the cables are top quality. My only complaint is that the margin of space to get into the headrest seems awkward and narrow, but I am slowly adapting to it. This was the reason I listed "uncomfortable" but I do think it won't be an issue after a few weeks. Read more

First let me say that if returning this wasn't such a pain in the neck it would be gone. That being said it is by no means a bad piece of equipment.
I read all of the reviews for this product before I ordered it and paid special attention to those few comments left from guys, some one good, one bad. I am a 40 y/o male who has gone to the gym 3x a week for 6 years. I was what I would call 'muscle fat'. You could see I had muscle, but I was by no means 'cut'.For the last year my desire to workout had slowely dried up. Seems my priorities changed and I was looking to loose weight and become lean, not bulky. I had a desire to stretch, become more flexible and concentrate on feeling healthy- not just having big pecs and biceps. Pilates looked interesting, but there was no way I was going to try this in the gym, so I bought it.
Now,I am 5'9", 194 lbs and this machine just barely accomodates me. It is a bit awkward positioning my head and legs at times, but I can usually compensate. Anybod

it's a good basic intro piece for reformer work.I am very disappointed with how limited the range of motion is with this equipment. You cannot get consistent resistance throughout the motions. the foot straps are a total bust! The padding is very slippery. I have added no slip grips to it for standing work. It's just kind of wimpy all the way around.Basically, I do realize it's a piece of home gym equipment however it's pretty flimsy and limited.I have found a handful of exercises that speak to its strengths. Glad I didn't spend any more money on it. [...] Read more

I use this product at least every other day; product came assembled so was able to start that day; very easy to use & video gave me enough ideas to create my own routine which has worked great. If you could see my before and after pictures only after 3 months everyone would ve amazed. In fact I've already had 2 people buy the machine after watching what it's done for me! Read more

When I heard about Pilates excercise and saw a pilate machine on QVC, i looked into it. I'm glad I didn't buy theirs. I ran into this product on my web search and reading the commnets on it made me decide to get it. Thank goodness for that. I began with 3 times a week for two weeks now to start with, the DVD is very good especially the total body workout. Even though it takes about 40 min, time flies as the excercises are very concise and really work all parts of the body. I already feel posture improvement and mid section getting toned. This makes excercise efficient as you feel your entire body is getting a workout. The power cords are great as you can adjust to your level in a snap, also the handles and feet cords are sooo easy to switch from one to the other, this machine is safe to use as well, sturdy base. My husband also uses it. Really recommned to everyone out there! Read more
