Out of the box worked o.k. Few days later, thermometer had gotten wet and rendered useless.
Co sent another "top" supposedly to prevent repeat.
They did not send new thermometer until two calls.
Presently cannot pour from reservoir as water does not go down all the way. even when the filtered water is empty. Very slowly it will go down part way but never totally empties from the top. Read more

I'm a bit of a water nut and have tried lots of these pitchers. Instead of buying replacement filters, sometimes I'll buy a whole new product. The Z-Pitcher is the best I've ever tried. They include a free digital water tester, and I used it on my tap water, my Brita, my Pur, and lots of bottled water. The water from the Z-Pitcher is almost perfect and it tastes great. I'm a little worried about the lifespan of the filter, but it's probably worth it. The pitcher also has a spout on the bottom which makes filling up from the fridge very easy. Read more

Bought the pitcher after seeing TV advertisement and wanted to stop having to lug back bottled water. The first time I used it, it showed 004 and the filter is supposed to be replaced at 006. However the water tasted good and looked very clear so I continued to use it. After about a week my husband commented on the taste and smell of his iced tea. When I took the reading it was in excess of 300. I dismantled it and washed everything thoroughly. This time the reading was 30 something. Continued using it and a few days later the same bad smell and taste returned. The reading was again in the high 300's. The smell was disgusting...very fishy.
I have just returned it to the store for a refund. I did call the help number supplied in the box. I was told someone would call me back to help within 48 hours but no one did. Read more

Z-Pitcher - SoSo Review

Single person household, filter lasted 4-6 weeks before it started tasting and smelling badly. The filters don't kill bacteria which builds up in the filter and leads to the smell/taste like feces literally. I think there are some health concerns that other filtered pitchers eliminate, not worth the hefty price for filtered water yet. Definately a good idea though, hope they can improve upon it. Read more

We have well water with suspended solids over 900 parts per million. The zero put even our water at zero. Very good tasting water, and comparable to buying bottle water as far as cost. It's not really cheaper, but you don't have to lug all those bottles home. If everyone bought one of these, there would be a lot less plastic bottles to throw away. Read more
