These sheets are very thick and heavy feeling. I have 600 thread count sateen sheets that are the softest and smoothest sheets around. I thought if I get the 1000 thread count sateen sheets they'd be twice as nice. My husband says it's like sleeping on canvas. The sheets are very stiff, THICK, heavy, and uncomfortable. I would not have bought these had I known what they were actually like. I thought that they'd soften a little after washing. no such luck, they have been washed 3 or 4 times and are just as horrible as when I took them out of the package the first time! Read more

These are by far the best quality sheets I have ever had! My husband was shocked that I actually paid this much for sheets, but now he says that he would pay even more for the same sheets. We have a thick, pillow-top mattress that has been hard to fit. We have bought numerous sets of sheets and it never fails that the corners will not stay in place. These sheets do not budge! They actually go on the bed easily and stay put. They are heavier than any other sheets I have ever owned. I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of the material. They wash nicely and they are ready to put on the bed straight out of the dryer. Our favorite feature is that the sheets stay warmer than our other sheets. On those cold, winter night, we can crawl in and feel comfortable. During the night, we can actually move without getting the shock of cold as if we are sleeping on a sheet of ice. I bought these sheets for us as a gift from Santa this year. It's our first time using sheets that have a thread count over the 300's. LOVE THEM! They fit the bed so nice. We have a mattress topper and most of our sets really seem to strain to get the fitted sheet on. These fit beautifully with room to spare. The elastic all the way around keeps it snug yet they're deep enough the corners don't pop off. They are much heavier than any sheet we've ever used and so very soft. I commented the first nite we used them it felt like slipping in to a cloud. I've never understood the hooplah surround thread count until now. The only "drawback" I can think of is that out of the washing, they looked a bit wrinkly. I don't know if that's because we didn't pull them out and put them on immediately or if it's the nature of these sheets. I purchased these right after Thanksgiving in the Linen color, which I expected to be like the color in the picture. It was even better, with a subtle gold sheen that looks beautiful. My boyfriend was concerned because they felt "heavy", but even he admits that they're the most comfortable sheets he's ever slept on. He tosses and turns a lot during the night, and has pulled fitted sheets off the mattress in the past--at least once a week. That has yet to happen with this set, which I attribute to the deep pockets (we have a thick pillow-top mattress) and the abundance of material on the sides of the fitted sheet. I absolutely plan to buy more of these sheets, both for us and as gifts. This purchase represents the 12th set of high-end sheet sets I've obtained from Overstock. I've purchased a mix of 1000 TC to 1200 TC to 1500 TC. I had never realized, prior to these purchases, that something as simple as high-quality sheets could impact your life. I sleep far better now and through the night. I really look forward to getting under these sheets. Here's the truth about these sheets: Always wash in cold water; Use Fabric Softener. Dry, on low setting, one sheet at a time to minimize wrinkling. I actually iron the sheets and pillowcases. These high thread count materials always wrinkle, so I consider this a necessary evil. But once finished these sheets/pillowcases are "to die for." Buy them and enjoy them. Read more
