We have THREE Pet Zone Doghouses!

We have three Pet Zone Doghouses, one of these Tuff and Rugged, and TWO Cozy Cottages (identical only smaller) and we use them for two beagles and a treeing walker coonhound. We purchased the plastic doors and everything works great. The only downside is that the sliding plastic vents under the roof aren't attached TO the house, so you have to be careful when removing the roof so that you don't lose them. We take ours apart (SOOOO NICE) Twice a year and scrub them down and pressure wash them. We live in Illinois so these all kinds of weather and work great. The cream color can get a bit dirty, but I think if I actually SCRUBBED it it would get cleaner. VERY Nice doghouses, easy to disassemble and I can do it myself and carry the pieces in and out of the kennel door. There is NO HARDWARE, these just snap together. The plastic doors do screw on. Relatively easy to set up with just a minor struggle to align the tabs, very sturdy (I can sit on the roof, and I'm not petite), made of the same tough plastic as my trash cans. It could not be totally waterproof with nothing really holding it together but some plastic tabs, but the seams are lapped and I put a bead of caulk around and I'm confident it will be fine in any but the toughest weather. This wonderful pet house has been GREAT for my outdoor cat. She is very picky about her shelter, and she goes in this house readily. Recently, we've had horrible wind and rainstorms and she was warm and dry in this house in her little bed (not included). The door is easy to get in and out of and easy to install. This is a GREAT product! I have a large dog and he has plenty of room to stretch out and be comfortable. He loves his new house so much that now he sleeps in every morning. The doghouse it okay. It isn't as sturdy as I thought it would be. My dog will not in it and that's more of his issue not the doghouse. It's lightweight and because I have a big dog he moves it around very easily. Read more
