This is the third spacemaker coffee maker we have purchased. The first two were good appliances that worked well for 4 or 5 years. This one was a piece of junk. The spring in the automatic shut off was too strong so the carafe would easily pop out of the base shutting off the drip and causing it to overflow. The clock gained a minute or two a day making it virtually useless the thing completely died after about 6 months. Don't waste your money!!!! Read more

We had to replace our old under the counter coffee maker and wanted a black one this time. HD online is the only place that still has the black color available. I like the spacemaker because you fill the reservoir at the sink instead of filling the pot. I was always spilling water trying to fill the other coffee maker. Plus this one frees up counter space and works great. Ours hasn't leaked at all, as some of the other reviewers reported. I threw away my box yesterday. Read more

We like the coffee maker, but the basket will pop out when making coffee. Its unpredictable - we set it to have coffee in the morning and instead we had a counter covered with coffee. My wife didn't notice what was happening one time and burned her hand when she was removing the pot. we are waiting for a new basket before we try to use it again. Read more

Installation instructions need to be updated for clarity, Especially when using template for overhang lip installation. Also there are three sets of 4ea screws. Small, Med and Long. I have to use the long screws with spacers for my cabinet. All is well on the reservoir side but on the pot side if I use the long screws, the unit will NOT FIT into bracket due to being too long and the medium are too short. The reason is the unit is deeper on the reservoir side but no well for the screws on the pot side thus unit will not slide into bracket. You need 2 screws between the med and long size length B & D should add these screws or redisign the top of the pot side with a well or depression for the mounting bracket screws. Read more
