Our Vet recommended Hills when we first got our Yellow Lab. Retriever mix dog. We fed her the puppy formula and moved to Hills Science Diet Adult food as she grew. We live in a condo in the city which somewhat restricts the amount of really active exercise she can get. Around the time she was 5 years old we noticed her getting a bit heavy for our liking. It was then that we changed to Hills Science Diet Adult Light for our furry friend. She loves it and the Science Diet Light Treats! She is happy and has been so healthy. The vet tells us ""Whatever we are doing, keep doing it because she is doing great"". Our furry baby is now 12 1/2 years old and enjoying life in the same ways, with the same enthusiasm as she did when she was a puppy. Read more

This product works great for dogs who are overweight. Our dog lost weight soon after switching to the light dog food. Now he is a normal weight. However, do not give dog regular dog food after being on the light dog food for a while. We had extra regular dog food and tried mixing it with the diet food. Huge mistake! It gave him an upset stomach for days! Read more
