I've found this little trumpet is a lot of fun to play. It sounds similar to a cornet or maybe a bugle, but blows more freely. The sound is greatly effected by the choice of mouthpiece used. The finish work is good as is the sturdy carrying case. It actually has two water keys even though it's advertised as having only one. The intonation requires a little finesse (a good ear), but thats too be expected from a horn in this price range. The only down side is the valve springs might be a little too light (slow), but thats an easy fix. I think it's a good value for the price. Playing it is a totally different experience than playing a professional model trumpet. But thats exactly what makes it challenging and FUN. Read more

I originally bought the PT182 as a novelty but once you play it you start to fall hard. I now take this horn with me on all my gigs. The tone really cuts thru our stage mix. Read more
