These bison belts are the best style they ever made. With the simple plastic buckle they are hard to beat (this buckle style is easy to use and is not bulky like some of their other designs).

The two that I received with my recent order had very noticeable blemishes. One of them (color #35) had webbing that was slightly wider than standard so it was very difficult to feed through the buckle and tighten/loosen. The other (color #31) was ruffled a bit along its length... it seemed to have been woven with one edge shorter than the other so it sort of curves a little leaving a rippled edge on the other side.

Other Bison belts I've gotten from STP were much less flawed. Still, I kept the 31 and it's working fine. Incidentally, the weave they're using now seems to be more supple than the designs of previous years that were relatively stiff. Depending on what you like this could be a good or bad thing. The stiffer ones hold their shape better, the softer ones bend easier and ar

I own several Bison Designs belts and this one is a little wider (so better) than the ones I own. At just about 1 1/8", it is great for jeans. The Rasta is my favorite design from Bison Designs and I really like the colors. Obviously this is best with a gray T-shirt or maybe a solid henley-style long sleeve. The belt can be reversed to only black for a less colorful look ... just to hold your pants up. I bought it because I like the Rasta, it's light weight, and it reverses. This will be great for travel. I would say the only downside is the "friction" buckle. It is not a problem for me because it seems to hold well for me, but I have heard others complain. I have had several of Bison Designs friction buckles and never had any problems. I only rated it less because of this, otherwise an excellent product. Read more

I got this belt to wear with pants or skirts with a top that falls below my waist over the belt. I like the belt because you can easily adjust it to the exact size you want and it stays in place. And unlike belts with traditional buckles, it lies flat under your top and does not add bulk to your pant/skirt. I wouldn't wear it with something tucked in where you can see it as it is too casual and looks cheap. It is also easy to shorten if too long--just snip with scizzors then seal the end with a match. Read more

If you're tired of trying to find decent web belts with buckles that actually work and don't slip-at a decent price-try these. Well made and thoughtful design without the weight of those military-type slide buckles that are on most web belts. Fashionably thin... fits almost any belt loops....and, in my opinion, perfect for summertime use with shorts, etc. I plan to hike and backpack with them. Style is an individual preference, but the designs on these belts are well above the norm of solid or single-stripe belts that cost more and are not nearly as well made. Made in CO (Yes, really!-Thanks, Bison.) this is one product that looks better "live" than in the pics. I think these are a remarkable bargain. Read more

I like to wear nylon belts when I wear sneakers with my jeans and khakis. This is a great belt for the price. As I am a small woman, the medium is too long, but I use scissors and cut the belt to the desired length and put the end to the flame of a candle and I have the perfect size. I have about 6 belts from Bison Designs and wear one just about everyday. The only small complaint is that one has some very slight fraying, but not enough to stop me from wearing the belt or buying more when color become available that I don't have. Read more
