I was not even looking for a Strat since I own a Hollow Tom Anderson Classic. But I must say This guitar got me. The tone is exactly what I always looked for in a Fender but could not find in most of their production guitars. The 2nd and forth positions are great. Very Robert Cray quacky tone. The neck pickup alone is also awesome, vintage Hendrix & SRV tones. I was dissapointed with the cut on the nut. Muted the open played strings, and needed filing and recut. The action was very high, needed a lot of truss rod tension, rough sand job on the fretboard,some of the the frets were filed flat to fix whatever buzz must have been in the guitar when made which caused some dead tone spots.. I would expect alot more from fender USA. But the tone is the best I have heard from a fender. But geez!!! get the quality control under control fender !!! Read more

My first Strat is an Eric Clapton ""Blackie"" re-production. A great axe - I never gave a second thought about buying another Strat - this one is great. However, after I saw the 60th Anniversary Strat, I thought it would be a nice addition to my collection of rock ""icon"" axes. I just received my new Strat about a few hours ago this evening. This Strat is Great! In fact, I think that this Strat has more of a ""Slowhand"" sound and tone than my first Strat - ""Blackie"". The 60th Anniv. Strat neck is faster having a nice rosewood fingerboad with smooth frets (it feels faster than the ""Blackie"" Strat. Both of theses Strats are great axes. Read more

I've been lucky enough to play a few vintage strats but couldn't aford the ""vintage"" price. This strat is really a well made vintage reproduction. I'd recomend it to anyone looking for a classic strat. Carl Read more
