My daughter was a seriously colicky baby -- I tried the gold Lipil brand at first; that's what she had in the hospital. Then we tried soy based formula (Lipil & Good Start), thinking maybe she had milk problems. Still, she was gassy & irritable & never slept through the nights. Finally, we tried this -- & lo & behold, we found something worthwhile! I love this stuff, & prefer the already mixed stuff to the powder because I use 'Comfi' bottles...if any of you parents use these & attempt to use powdered formulas as well, you know the mess that can come with a small bottle opening & a scoop roughly the size of the bottle's opening! It's so much easier to just pour in the pre-made formula. Read more

My son is extremely good-natured and never cried unless he was hungry. Augustus was diagnosed w/ reflux at a month and it progressively got worse until he wasn't sleeping at night (which meant neither was mommy) and would cry at feedings. My pediatrician insisted on this because she believed he has a milk and soy allergy. Within a day I saw vast improvement!! He sleeps almost the entire night now (at 6 weeks old) and no more crying when feeding and no more constipation. This formula is much more expensive as it's hypoallergenic, but a price cannot be put on my child's health and happiness.

He still has traces of reflux which he is on medicine for, but he is now back to his happy self. I would highly recommend this for parents whose babies are having difficulty with formulas. He was also getting extremely gassy even after being burped and this has disappeared with the formula change.

I also use the Playtex Drop-Ins to cut down the most on gas and efficient feeding and cann

My son who is 1 month now has been on 4 formulas since birth. First similac advantage, the their soy one, the enfamil gentlease now the doctor put him on similac alimentum. My son starting having bad gas all the time once we brought him home from the hospital. He did the worse on the soy formula then any of the other ones. He wasn't sleep well at all, he just cried in pain all the time cause of the bad gas and his skin was so dry. I couldn't get him to eat but an 1 to 1 1/2oz of formula every 2 hours. He just didnt want it cause it hurt his little tummy so much. The doctor put him on alimentum almost 2 weeks ago and he is doing alot better. I found out tho. He does alot better on the ready to feed then the powder formula. The corn in the powder which is not in the ready to drink was hard on his tummy too. I love the ready to drink, no tummy aches. It is just a like costly tho. I did some research with my insurance company and found out my united healthcare insurance covers this formul

This formula is wonderful. My daughter has severe acid reflux and food allergies, so we've been through many formulas (and medications for reflux). She's been on this one the longest and has done the best with it. She likes this one much, much better than the prescription hypoallergenic formula she was on. She just wasn't eating enough and in turn not gaining enough wt on the other formula. I've read numerous reviews on several different websites about the ready mix being preferred by babies over the powder. I am also sold on this one over the powder due to the amount of the milk protein (milk casein) in it vs the powder. (My daughter could only tolerate the ready to feed anyway). The only downside to this formula is the price, but unfortunately that's the way all the hypoallergenic formulas are. Coupons help.....too bad our insurance doesn't. After what my daughter, husband, and I have been through, we'll pay just about any price for a happy baby!!! Read more

We switched to this product after trying Regular (blue) Similac and then Good Starts. Both caused our son to have uncomfortable gas and stomach pain. We saw and immediate difference in him, and have been happy with this product ever since. Honestly, it's nearly impossible to get the Ready-to-Feed version to get bubbles in it no matter how much you shake it, and severly cut down on the amount of time spent burping, and the number of spit ups he'd have. :-) Read more
