I use this for lightweight backpacking over a stove. When going solo, removing one bowl/cup combo leaves a lot of room for food storage. MSR Pocket Rocket, 220g/410ml fuel cannister and lighter fit inside as advertised. The clear plastic lid on the pot is excellent for cooking/straining pasta! Bowl/cup is insulated for hot food and the lid is cut for sipping hot liquids. It is an awkward shape for coffee in the morning but serves the purpose well while cutting out the weight of a separate mug. I removed the outer bowl (for cereal) and found that the inner bowl with attached insulating sleeve was Ok for coffee if not a bit on the hot side (without the outside bowl attached, my coffee cooled off much faster than in an insulated mug). The lid on the bowl made cleaning sticky foods easy (add a little hot water, shake, and dispose). I have not used the coated carrying bag for carrying water yet but tried it in the sink and it is indeed waterproof. While the pot does not have any meas

Bought this little set because my wife loves to cook, and I needed a reason to replace the cheap-o set I had. A lot of thought went into the design of this set. I still cant believe it holds 2 bowls 2 cups w/lids, the pot and lid w/strainer oh and my stove and a canister of fuel fits in there. The build quality of the set just feels solid, everything fits together nicely. Really happy I bought this. Read more

GSI brings smart design to the backcountry. A well thought out set, though as others mentioned it is odd at first using a bowl as your mug.

My only gripes are that it doesn't fit my MSR Pocket Rocket nor silverware set in the manner shown on the box and that they were a little hard to clean. Read more

My wife and I are Peace Corps volunteers in Albania. My mother-in-law got this for us because we like to do a lot of camping. This cook set was great because it had everything we needed for the two of us to eat, drink our coffee, and cook, and it packed down to a great size! It is one of those products that had a lot of thought put into every detail of it. From the rubber coated pot handle that folds down to hold all of the cookware together to the lids for the coffee cups/bowls, everything about it had a purpose. It's too bad ours got stolen! Read more

I Before I ever used this I was very impressed by the features and quality. I used this for five days straight on a trip in Wyoming, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It never lacked in any way. We regularly used the sack to haul water for washing cooking use. The pan is easy to clean. The insulated mugs with lids kept tea and hot chocolate warm. The bowls have markings for liquid measurments which comes in very handy. The handle does not get hot like my old pan did. You can fit your stove and fuel inside to, which makes up for its size. I can't imagine this set getting any better. Read more
