The cording on the pillowcases shrunk after washing before use. The band on the flat sheet was either not sewn straight or cut on the bias. The sheets do not feel like 1000 count. The description states egyptian cotten, no mention of sateen. The package indicated sateen. I have ordered other sheets and have been very pleased with them, but this set appears to be seconds. Very disappointed. Although the sheets are soft and feel good against the skin, they shrink ALOT. I bought a queen size and they no longer fit the bed after 2 washings in cold water/delicate cycle as per directions. The bottom sheet doesn't fit across the mattress to the corners (and mine is only ~14 inches deep), the pillow cases don't cover the pillow and the top sheet barely covers the top mattress on the side to the box spring. They also wrinkle terribly - I have had high end cotten sheets before and they didn't wrinkle this badly. I will be returning. Read more

These sheets have such 'substance' ... not heavy, but the high thread count means they have so much body. My neighbor said, "Yeah, but when I bought all-cotton sheets they looked wrinkled after I washed them." True, cotton sheets do wrinkle. But, especially with 1,000 thread count, if you take them out of the dryer immediately, put them back on the bed while still warm, and smooth them out ... the wrinkles are almost gone. So, unless you want to send them out to wash and iron (yeah, sure...), I suggest you overlook a few wrinkles. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Sleeping on them feels too divine! Read more

I had previously purchased a set of sheets on Smartbargain for my Cal King size bed; they were very thick, heavy, & soft. We recently purchased a King-size bed and I needed to purchase king-size sheets. I couldn't remember if they were 1000ct. Egyptian or 1200ct Egyptian sheets. After purchasing these, I realize these are GREAT, but not like my previous purchased. I would still recommend these 1000ct. Egyptian sheets. But if you want the BEST sheets that are thick, heavy and soft go with the 1200ct. Egyptian, single ply sheets. Those are my next set to purchase from Smartbargain. Read more

Given the description of what these sheets claim to be, 1000TC, single ply, Egyptian cotton, I am totally disappointed. After washing them 3 times they've started to pill in places. And I always wash my sheets by themselves. On top of that, one of the pocket seams, on the fitted sheet, is letting go. So, all in all, I guess you get what you pay for. Read more
