What can I say about this jacket other than Its perfect!Its light, completely waterproof and windproof, warm stylish, has all the pockets you need and looks great on the slopes as well as walking around downtown. Who would have thought you could make denim coated Gore-Tex? Its ingenious!The only downside is that you cant unzip the hood, but I dont think you can with any of Burtons AK range anyways.Overall, this is probably the best jacket Ive ever owned. Read more

I bought this ahead of a trip to Tahoe. Rode heavily all day through a relatively cold snowstorm at Squaw Valley (snowed 10"-12" in 24hrs w/ pellet-y grappa + high winds etc), and the jacket performed flawlessly. Light, comfy, flexi, sewn anatomically correct (!), yet like armor. For cold I suggest a couple thin synthetic base layers and a #4 Patagonia wool base layer over that; stays flexible and light, yet warm. This highly reliable shell does the rest. The zipper technology is amazin'...looks nice too. I've been buying Burton gear since the early 1990s and this jacket is certainly an evolution in terms of fit, quality, and pure functionality. It very easily trumps any snowboarding jacket I've bought in the past, including Santa Cruz or FourSquare (and of course other Burtons). Only complaint, and it is very minor: hood doesn't come off. Shelling out for a pricey but well-designed piece of Gore-Tex like this is a decision I do not regret! Read more

if you wear a fleece or somehting under the jacket you will be warm for a very long time. I love the hood, its perfect to use as a hat, its warmer than the hat. Also the ipod spot is great. Read more
