I just bought a new car and found the factory radio to be lacking in the features that I needed. I needed to have a radio that had an aux input so I could plug my MP3 player. After much research I came up with my additional must have features: USB port, SD slot, Video Screen, Play Video files, and MP3's from CD/DVD. This led me to XOVision [www.xovision.com]. My original plan was to get the XO1912. However after further research, I found this radio. It had all the features I was looking and more. I also got Blue Tooth and a touch screen.

Here is what I like:

Installation was easy. With the correct installation kit, it went in without a single problem.

How is the screen? The screen is bright and clear. The touch screen is responsive and intuitive.

How is the video playback? I am happy with the video playback. It plays avi, mpeg and DVD's. I was able to play avi and mpeg from the USB, SD, DVD and AVI on the DVD. I don't have an IPOD, so I can't comment on i

I bought this being skeptical on the product since ive never heard of the brand name. I was not let down. The device was easy to install. The bluetooth was super easy to set up and the reception is great. The mic does a great job of picking up the voice, even though I drive a sports car and my engine is pretty loud.

The screen is kind of hard to see at times, since the font size is relatively small, but its not unreadable. Sound quality is fantastic as well.

I drive a stick so the video playback is having some difficulties since you cant watch it while the car is not in park. Since there is no real 'parking' brake in a manual, it wont let me play dvd's, but I heard that by simply grounding the parking detection wire, it should be ok.

My only concern with the device is that you need to rely on the remote to toggle between folders and the files in the folders. There is no way to use the buttons on the device to select between folders and songs. Once you enter a folder, the only

Question to XO Vision: any firmware upgrade to the horrible MP3 UI display? Answer: a big NO. My replay: oouch!!! basically myself and whoever buys this unit will have to live with this. quite disappointing. 50% or more usage, people will use this unit to listen to mp3 music most of the time. Many great things about this unit, especially love the bluetooth hands free feature, EXCEPT am radio reception and worst of all the mp3 UI display. The UI is super super tiny, the background has a terrible high annoying contrast and resolution. Also, no clock display, so while listening to mp3, you cannot tell the time. that's pretty bad. I notice you did not demo the mp3 screen on your site, but demo everything else. Now I know why. I am still scratching my head why you would release and sale it if the firmware is not upgradeable knowing that the mp3 UI display is extremely horrible. This model are selling for [$], so it is not too cheap in my opinion. can't believe the firmware is not upgradeble

        1. Installation was a breeze EXCEPT for some wires that were not ID'd in the manual took XO 3 days to reply.
2. Screen when working was great but the image would freeze this happened on SD card as well as the USB and the DVD.
3. Remote too big and too much to do for a person driving(many of the controls available only on remote.... Like how to turn it off.
4. While listening to Edwin Star (WAR) it shut off and would not come on for 5 minutes, this kept happening and I had to return it.
5. Installation was easy enough.
6 Why have a screen for the music on the MP3 if you can't read it.
7. The Bluetooth would not play from my PDA when it was connected.
8. The bluetooth was too quiet for the phone and no way to balance it. you had to answer the phone then quickly turn up the volume 20 - 25 clicks to hear, then god forbid if you forgot to turn it down you became deaf..
Several occasions when I turned down the volume it would increase rapidly
No way to turn it off except the remote.

This has been a great product although i havent owned it for an extended amount of time. I had it professionally installed in my 95 cadillac deville but im sure i could have installed it in an easier application. The unit works perfect doing everything it claimed to do. The dvd player works flawlessly, amd the cd and radio work perfect i think that you can add things like a tv tuner and a backup camera but i dont need them. The head unit also plays my ipod perfectly and the cord came with it. I have seen units for much more that do not accomplish near what this little guy can do. For the price i say it cant be beat. And the 3" screen is surprisingly easy to watch. Read more
