I saw the commercial for SlimShots recently and appreciated that it took things seriously. No bikini models (who look nothing like me) running around on the beach. No insulting outrageous claims. This made me interested in learning more. The box is larger than most diet-related products and feels more substantial. You can open it on the top, like normal, or pull out a little panel in the front to use it as a dispenser. Inside, you'll find 30 shots. They're exactly the size of a standard coffee creamer. It also comes with a hard plastic travel case so you can put a shot in your purse and take it with you without worrying about it breaking. This was a nice little touch. According to the box, each shot is 20 calories and the active ingredients are all natural (palm oil and oat oil). They have a slight vanilla taste and it's a smooth, almost silky liquid texture. I'm just a normal size 14 woman in my 30's. I've tried so many diet pills, it's crazy (and expensive)! This one appealed to me because it was new on the market. So I tried it. It really does help curb your appetite. I need to take 2 shots a day like they recommend for maximum benefit. So it isn't cheap. But I don't have the urge to binge from 6pm til bedtime anymore. I can eat smaller meals during the day and not feel hungry. And after dinner (ok, and dessert) I'm good for the rest of the night. This product will work for you and help you lose weight as long as you have a little self control and pass up that candy dish at work. The taste of the shot is icky though. It's basically two milky oils mixed together. The vanilla flavoring they add doesn't help. I just drink the shot. I tried mixing it with cereal once and then in my yogurt and found it to be disgusting. It's easier to just down the shot and follow up with something to eat/drink. Read more

I am not too crazy about the taste. I take my shot alone, and drink water right after. For me it begins to work within 10 mins. After taking it, I will not be hungry for about 7-8 hours. They say it comes in another flavor, so I am trying to find it maybe that one will taste better. For now, I will get these, because they really do work. It's better than taking pills if anyone has trouble or don't like pills. For me, I take it around my lunch (12-1pm) and I stay not hungry until dinner which is 6pm. also, I take it a few hours after dinner, since that is usually when I crave sweets. Hi! I want everyone to know that I use these religeously! They are not just a gimic at all! They really work! I understand that the first few days it won't take effect, but I understand that, it says on the box, "It may not take effect right away". So I gave them some time, and BOOM! started to work! Let me tell you, I once had a problem with food, I loved to eat a lot! We are talking 4 big meals a day. It was bad, I was not proud of myself, and the annoying hungry would come up everytime I tried to reduce my calorie intake. All that did was cause me to go on a binge at the end of the night (NOT good.) Then, I tried the slimshots, and talk about going from one extreme to another! I hardly eat at all now! This stuff isn't too bad. They do need to lower the price, though.[...]. It is a decent product, and a little exercise helps it along. Just go for a walk or something, I did put it in my tea, not bad. I try to drink them straight, might as well, get the taste over with. It does help me in the evening, I am a 100% "evening nibbler". This has controlled that alot. No kidding.. I have a "goal" outfit in my closet, I don't use the scale. This keeps me motivated. I like the product. I just take one at lunch time, and it seems to carry me through the rest of the day. I only take one a day because of the cost factor of this product. It still works, If you need to take 1 at breakfast, its a great boost. Mine just happens to be at lunch and dinner where I tend to over do it. Read more
