The canvas is tent canvas, extremely strong and durable. The straps are very well made and are comfortable over your shoulder. The backpack aspect is great as well as the ease of taking it off and on. The only problem, more of a slight irritation than a problem is that the inside lining is black and if it were a lighter or mid value/color you could see inside much easier to retrieve your stuff. Just a little dark in there.It is not so dark as to not buy it.The zippered extra area on the bottom is a plus as you can put something in there and not have to open your backpack totally to get it. Love the colors and price. You won't regret this purchase.
