I use the SnapBox to record conference lectures which are broadcast on FM during the conference. It's not real easy to learn to use, because there are multiple functions determined by the time-length of click on the controls. (Practice, practice, practice, and use the not-so-well-written instruction manual.) Up and down cursor controls are left and right arrows rather than up and down, which adds to confusion. However, fast reverse and fast forward selections are sensible with the left and right controls. It does so much and stores a HUGE amount of recording, so I am very pleased. It's very reliable, and files are protected from unintentional deletion. The sound quality is impressive also. Battery life requires support for more than a couple hours of recording. Charging takes less than 20 minutes, so can be done rather quickly with either USB cord or AC adapter, both included. It does not interact with Vista, but does with Windows XP. I had a bad experience with this player. Sound quality not good, wma files sounded really bad. Player would freeze and not work for hours[...]return it for a better brand. I got the cowan u5 and I'm happy!Thank you B&H Photo. Read more
