I bought one to see if Zeevie (young Malamute) could destroy it; when she failed to tear it up, I bought one for my other Malamute. I got them with the heavy vinyl. All 75lbs of Zeevie has pounced and dug as hard as she can on them and it hasn't done a thing to it! She tried gnawing on it, but gave up. I really like that even if Lil'Bit shoves hers over the heat register, it sits up 6 inches, so it doesn't block the air flow! I put their old ratty beds on top of the Kurandas to get them used to the new beds. So ignore that bed pad in the picture. Read more

We have had these beds for our dogs for over ten years and they are still like new; when was the last time you could say that about a dog bed?!!
In the summer they are great to use in the garage, where the dog can stay cool yet be up off the hard floor. We also keep them on the deck.
They clean up easily; I just put some mild soap on a cleaning brush, scrub to clean then hose off. Read more

We have two 1-year old dogs. They are both retriever mix. We bought two Kuranda Poly Resin dog beds and place them in a large kennel so that when we are at work, the dogs can sleep comfortably.
They are easy to assemble. However, the corner brackets are little tricky. Putting them together too tight, they can crack; too loose and the joints don't fit well together.
Each of our 1-year-old dog is about 50 pounds. They are well behaved but full of energy. Sometimes when they get excited, they jumped onto the bed. About three months or so, we begin to see little crack on the corner brackets of both bed. By the fourth month, some of the corner brackets begin to crack while still holding tight together. Small pieces began to chip off and thats where trouble started. The dogs would try to chew off of that and brackets began to crack around the screws. About four months, you can see the frabic stretched a bit. Then one day when we came home, one of the bed's frabic was torn. Within a week o

I have 4 Kuranda beds, 2 of which are in the shed because the corner pieces broke! Love the design, all but chew-proof, my dogs love 'em, they're easy to clean, but they just don't hold up. Read more

Mandy, our shepard/hound rescue dog, LOVES this bed. She had gone through a number of "typical" dog beds in the few months after adopting her at 8 months old, and since the house is empty for 5-6 hours a day, we crate her for her safety and our sanity. We needed something durable and "chew-proof". I was skeptical about the comfort of this bed, however, we decided to try it as it would certainly be more comfortable than the crate floor. Well, not only has Mandy not been able to chew the bed to pieces, she actually chooses to relax on it even when we're home, and her crate is left open. This is a GREAT dog bed for chewers and non-chewers alike. Read more
