I do not like gels or sprays and have tried at least 10 other "leave in conditioners" and have never gotten the results that I do with V05 Sheer Dressing. It has hold, shine and defrizzes, but at the same time stays soft. All I have to do is rewet my hair in between washes. I am a gray haired 66 year old woman with short wavy hair. I have used this product for about 8 or 9 years and am so pleased with the fact that I get such great shine without weighing down my fine hair. I have great difficulty finding this product in my local stores and can only get it by ordering online. This product does not make hair greasy, but just adds shine and a bit of control. I have tried many other brands advertising "shine", but have never found another one as satisfactory as this one. Read more

I'm not really much for putting on hair products - when my hair is the right length it really stays put all by itself. My friend uses this product so I tried it a couple of times (when my hair seemed to have a mind of its own). It works really well - tames my hair when i let it get a bit too long. I think it shines a bit more with this as well. I now have my own tube! Note that the tube looks different from the one pictured - it has a red band. Read more

Apply to damp hair by using fingers to style hair as you apply. Having short hair, I bend over and blow dry my hair without further touching my hair. Too much contact with your brush will help remove the product from your hair. Read more

I love this product! It is the best I have found, even within the VO5 family of products. For those who have found it to be "heavy, greasy, etc." I suspect they are using too much. When a small amount is applied to damp hair (after shampooing), the product works great! Read more
