"I live on Tampa Bay, I purchased the Amana 18,000 BTU Heat Pump Room Air Conditioner with Multi-Directional Airflow for my Florida room. I could have went with a 16,000 BTU but this one works fine. Additionally we do have some cool mornings in the winter so I went with a heat pump, I have a couple of things that I would of changed, this model didn't ofer a remote control, I installed the unit above a sliding door and have found it difficult to make manual changes. The multi directional air flow should have been split. Other than that it works very well. We receive the afternoon sun, with this unit we are able to keep the room at 72 with no problem. The room is 14 X 24 the West wall is all insulated glass windows and 10 ft. high ceilings. We purchased this unit last Month and haven't had a chance to use the heat pump as the temp has been in the high 80s and low 90s."

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
