"This is a wonderful kit for the DIY'er. The instructions were very simple to follow and even included a few tips to prevent common mistakes. It contained everything I needed, minus the copper tubing and compression fitting that connect the ice maker to the water supply. I was able to get these parts at the hardware store for less than $10 (they had some leftover tubing lying around).

I did have an issue with the electronic valve assembly, because I had a major leak whenever it sent water to the ice tray. After taking the valve off, it turned out the plastic tubing that connects the valve to the inlet tube wasn't pushed in all the way. This also caused the finished cubes to be very small, unsurprisingly. I was able to push the tubing in another 1/4 inch or so, and now it works great! It's noisy, but only for a few seconds when the ice is finished and another batch is starting (every couple of hours). Well worth the time and expense if you own a compatible refrigerator."
