"I've been working in broadcast and film/video production for almost 10 years. I have a better traine eye than the average guy. This unit has a good picture, nice contrast. No glare that I can see. The sound is pretty lousy but then, you're paying for the picture, use a home theater system for the sound. This unit has no problem showing all the sortcomming of whatever medium you use so if the source is bad, this will let you know. On the other hand, if the source is real HD programming, this will let you see its splendor in full detail. My only real complaint is that the "zoom" mode drastically distorts the aspect ratio. But in "Normal" and "Wide" modes, it works perfectly which is what you'd be using 95% of the time anyway."

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
