Apple iPod classic 80GB Review
Pros

"I have approximately 20 gigs of content I wanted to load onto an iPod and the classic was my choice. I am extremely happy with.
Pros -
The battery life, as far as I can currently tell, is excellent giving me about 6 or 7 hours for video and around 30 or so for music. It's an exceptional amount of battery life. The next big thing is the space. 80gb is a VERY large amount and I don't plan on running out. It's got the classic iPod good looks and the screen is, although not as big as some of the competitions like the Zune for example, it's of high quality and pixel density so, even though it may be smaller, it is of excellent quality and I fully feel comfortable watching videos on the iPod classic. Clean and simple to use controls and a wonderful, graphically rich, user interface that shows off your album artwork are all to be found on this new iteration of the iPod. The inclusion of three new games; a new iteration of the music quiz, vortex which is essentially breakout but circular, and klondike which is just solitaire, it adds very colorful games to the experiance with vortex being my personal favorite. Also, there is a stopwatch, ability to view pictures, add clocks for multiple areas, and customize your menu and whats on it. Overall, it is excellent but there are still negatives which is to be expected. Now, onto the cons.
Cons -
This is, of course a hard-drive based iPod so it does take time (about 1 second or so) to play a song once you have chosen it and the menus, although they run pretty smoothly for the most part, do sometimes not respond as quickly because of the hard drive as compared to the nano and its flash memory. It isn't that much of a big deal, or something you really notice that much, but it's there. Also, coverflow is not really that practical. Of course, it looks really nice and shows off the album covers and is visually rich, the album covers, if you move quickly, need to load because of the hard drive. Also, it loses much of its novelty considering it is not on a touch screen. Even still, it doesn't really take away from the iPod because you are not forced to use this and you can use the classic interface of going through the artists.
The bottom line is, this is an excellent iPod with excellent capacity and excellent, colorful, and well designed user interface. Other than the minor lag that you may encounter from the hardrive and the overall impracticle, yet colorful Cover Flow, there really isn't anything bad to say about this iPod and, because of that, this is one excellent iPod!"
