"Excellent MP3 player for listening to audio books - primary reason for purchasing. Extremely simple to download from public library and put onto the Archos player. For audio books, device must be Janus compliant and this one is (accepts expiring files that deactivate/expire after X days). Also has bookmarking so that during playback you hit 'set bookmark', switch to music or another book, etc., and then when you go back to the book it prompts to see if you want to resume at the set bookmark. Great feature. Also supports really big single files, unlike some MP3 players. Average book size is 140 MB so this can hold more books than you can listen to.Impressed with device quality, would like to see some better menus, such as "Repeat" for my 11-year-old daughter's favorite song, over and over...Overall, happy with device performance.
