"i use this microphone to record external sound AWAY from my video camera. it's excellent because i no longer hear any noise from my hands shifting on the camera. it picks things up really well. now, though i personally don't have a problem with this, the mic only picks up the left channel. not the right. so far as i can tell, anyway. this may be due to a 1-channel feed that goes with having 3.5 mm jacks...

however, computer editing can easily fix this."
