"This is the third spacemaker coffee maker we have purchased. The first two were good appliances that worked well for 4 or 5 years. This one was a piece of junk. The spring in the automatic shut off was too strong so the carafe would easily pop out of the base shutting off the drip and causing it to overflow. The clock gained a minute or two a day making it virtually useless the thing completely died after about 6 months. Don't waste your money!!!!"

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
